A Sad Skittles Commercial

Good idea for an ad, but not funny in fact the story is so sad. The writer should have made up his/her mind on what effective genre to use in carrying this Skittles ad. If they want to make it funny, they should stick to the amusing things the “Midas” guy can do along with his misadventures.

But like what the commercial portrays the “Midas” guy is lamenting on the predicament he’s in, narrating the bus driver he shook hands with this morning—and that bus driver are never to be seen by his family anymore because he turned into Skittles.

That is awfully sad! and who wants a sad commercial? Unless this ad is a United Nations campaign against war, where sadness is an effective vehicle. This is a good idea placed in a wrong light.
